UTILIZE SHADOWS AND CONTROLLED ANGLED LIGHTING. HAVE ONE DOMINANT LIGHT SOURCE, NOT FROM ABOVE. CREATE YOUR OWN STUDIO, MAKE YOUR SUBJECT LOOK SURREAL, - MANIPULATE. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 3Fruits, Vegetables, OR Flowers. YOUR MOTHER MADE YOU EAT THEM, WE ARE MAKING YOU PHOTOGRAPH THEM. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD ADDITIONAL LIGHT IF YOU ARE PHOTOGRAPHING THE FRUITS AND VEGGIES AT HOME OR IN SCHOOL. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO TO THE GROCERY STORE FOR BETTER LIGHTING AND INCREASED SELECTION. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 4 ACTION/MOVEMENT. THE PHOTO MUST SHOW MOVEMENT OF A SUBJECT THROUGH BLURRING, OR CAPTURE A SUBJECT IN THE MIDST OF MOVEMENT. CONSIDER YOUR SHUTTER SPEED ON THIS SHOT. REMEMBER TO PRE-FOCUS IF POSSIBLE. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 5 FRAMING.(Must be of a PERSON!) THIS MUST BE OF A PERSON. THE BACKGROUND AND AREA AROUND YOUR SUBJECT SHOULD DRAW ATTENTION TO THE SUBJECT. REMEMBER THE ELEMENTS OF LINE AND CONTRAST. YOU CAN SHOOT THROUGH AN OBJECT TO FRAME YOUR SUBJECT, USE CONVERGING LINES, ETC. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 6HANDS. THIS PICTURE IS ABOUT EXPRESSION. LIGHTING IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. YOU WILL HAVE TO WORK WITH YOUR SUBJECT TO GET THIS PHOTOGRAPH. MULTIPLE HANDSETS ARE OKAY. PRE-VISUALIZE A MESSAGE OR IDEA. YOU MAY NEED TO ADD LIGHT FROM A LAMP OR SPOTLIGHT, ETC. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 7SILHOUETTE. THE PICTURE SHOULD CONVEY A MESSAGE THROUGH THE OUTLINE OF YOUR SUBJECT. YOUR SUBJECT SHOULD HAVE NO DETAIL, AND THE LIGHT SOURCE SHOUD BE COMING FROM DIRECTLY BEHIND YOUR SUBJECT AND DIRECTED TOWARDS YOU. AGAIN, THE SUBJECT SHOULD BE DIRECTLY BETWEEN YOU AND THE LIGHT SOURCE. HAND IN ONE PICTURE. PICTURE 8LINE. THIS IS ONE OF THE 3 PHOTOS EMPHASIZING COMPOSITION. THIS PICTURE SHOULD STRESS VERTICAL OR HOROZONTAL LINE. STRUCTURES OF NATURE, MAN-MADE STRUCTURES, AGRICULTURE, ETC. HAND IN ONE PICTURE.
PICTURE 9TONE. THIS IS THE SECOND COMPOSITION PRINT. TONE REFERS TO THE COLOR QUALITY OR BRIGHTNESS VALUE IN A PORTION OF THE IMAGE. HAND IN ONE PICTURE. YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SECTION OF THE ZONE SYSTEM. In other words, there should be very little contrast in this photo. HAND IN ONE PICTURE PICTURE 10Tonal CONTRAST.THIS IS THE THIRD COMPOSITION PICTURE. THE SUBJECT SHOULD NOT BE A PERSON. YOU ARE LOOKING FOR RANGES OF SHADE AND LIGHT.
